What better way to kick off spring than with the sight and smell of fresh roses? Are you imagining the fragrance? Now multiple that by say, 300. Now, pretend you’re in a Greenwich Village loft. There’s rosé champagne flowing. Petals everywhere: covering the walls, strung from the ceiling, dotting the doors, lining the floors. You can imagine my delight when I received the opportunity to experience the new Fresh Rose collection first hand in New York City. I’ve been a longtime fan of all things Fresh – while not all of their products are completely natural, they have been using gentler formulas before it was popular to do so. Does anyone else swear by the Soy Cleanser? 24…

Hello darlings! As you may have seen over on Instagram, I’ve recently partnered with the very clever team over at Wantfolio who have just launched the new app (which you should absolutely snap up). It’s my new favourite way for capturing, organizing, and curating content I want to keep up with — it’s basically a publishing feed to keep up with my favourite blogs and news sites. Do you ever feel like there is so much good content out there, but no concise way to keep tabs on it? Wantfolio is a great hub for this. I’ve been saving away articles and images onto a few different boards: home, style, and adventure. You…

I’m a total lipstick girl. I love the idea of a colourful lip and if my make-up bag is any indication, it’s a look I covet. The only problem? I find matte lipsticks to, no matter how pretty the look is, be rather high maintenance. The constant need to check if the colour has bled, the lack of moisture, and well . . . a matte lip isn’t exactly kissable. The collection is full of vivid hues and soft shades, so a bit of everything. I’ve tried out the entire…

Pastel outwear is having a moment: we saw this on the fall runways at Prada, Dior, and Dolce & Gabbana. Last year, I adored my icy blue topper for many reasons – namely because it added a pop of colour to an otherwise drab season. The winter season is long enough as is here in Toronto so I always find it a bit shocking that everyone goes for the black/gray/navy coat . . . sure it’s practical but I prefer to lighten things up. Wearing a candy coloured coat is a quick way to stand out (and receive many compliments while you’re at it) from the crowd. This winter I opted for J.Crew‘s Melton Toggle…

Life is full of all kinds of surprises – my six month stint in Paris was no exception. Just a few days before our adventure was to come to a close, I had the special honour of being invited to receive a private tour of the late Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel‘s rue Cambon apartment. This is something not many people have the opportunity to experience, and so I feel immensely honoured to not only have taken a glimpse into the home of this woman I have admired for years . . . but to also learn more about Coco and her prolific life. As a lover of design, I revel in the details. I…
