Bonjour, and happiest of Sundays to you. Andrew and I arrived in Paris early Friday morning and have since settled into our first apartment, located in the 17th arrondissement. We took the RER train (fairly easy to navigate and only 10 euros, I recommend this option to get into the city) to the Métro nearest us — Brochant — and lugged our luggage up three flights of stairs. We are using airbnb for the duration of our trip and it’s been easy, breezy so far — this is a great option to really feel at home while you’re away (something super important to us for such a long stay).
After taking most of Friday to sleep and get onto local time, we met up with my sweet friend Rachelle at Jardin du Luxembourg where we picnicked in the sun. It was lovely to meet some of the girls I’ve met via Instagram and put faces to names — I don’t know how this trip would be without it! It’s a wonderful way to make connections and meet new people, especially when you’re new in town.
I am working on my second story for Glitter Guide (read my first one here if you missed it) and I can’t wait to share more with you. Until then, catch me on Instagram for daily updates.
And, a very big merci to the talented Jeanne McKay Hartman for turning my photo into this gorgeous watercolour!
